THE GREENPRINTS PLAN DOCUMENT IS AN AWARD WINNING DOCUMENT THAT IS ALSO PART OF THE CITY’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
The Mayor and City Council of the City of Woodstock initiated a park and trail master plan in 2007. A steering committee made up of residents, business owners and other interested parties met over the course of 10 months and developed the Greenprints Project master plan. Adopted as part of the Comprehensive Town Plan 2030 by the Mayor and City Council in June 2008, the plan calls for a 60+ mile trail and open space network throughout the City and surrounding areas.
The Greenprints Project has been awarded the 2008 ‘Outstanding Greenspace Plan’ by the Georgia Urban Forest Council and the 2008 ‘Best Planning Process – Small Community
