Rubes Creek TrailThe Rubes Creek Trail will be located off Arnold Mill Road near Fire Station 14 and will head south for approximately 3/4 of a mile. It will be a ten-foot-wide multi-use trail that will eventually be part of the Downtown Loop.

This segment is currently under construction with completion expected in 2016. The funding for this project is through a GDOT Transportation Enhancement Grant.

Rubes Creek TrailThis phase will provide a connection to Arnold Mill Road and a parking area. Not yet funded. Expected to be completed by Summer 2017.

TOWNE LAKE PASS TRAIL

COST $3,000,000

This trail segment will connect Towne Lake to the Woofstock Dog Park traveling along Towne Lake Hills South from Towne Lake Parkway towards Woodstock High and Middle schools. The trail turns into the woods near the school complex and follows the Noonday Creek corridor under I-575 and to Woofstock Dog Park. The trail is expected to be roughly 1.2 miles long.

Construction is set to begin in 2016 with completion expected in 2017. The funding for this project is through the Cherokee County Parks Bond.

Heading south from Highway 92 where the current Noonday Creek Trail terminates to eventually connect into Cobb County’s Noonday Creek Trail that currently terminates at Bells Ferry, this priority connection segment will connect the Cherokee County and Greenprints trail network into Cobb County’s trail system.
